FIELDWORK

Occupational therapy students from programs nationwide and worldwide have completed their fieldwork at Therapy In Action.  We are committed to providing excellent fieldwork supervision and have affiliations with local and national occupational therapy programs.  Level one fieldwork students get a chance to observe treatment sessions, as well as the daily tasks of a staff occupational therapist.  Level two fieldwork students benefit from a structured experience that fosters fieldwork students’ skills, confidence and professionalism while preparing them for entering the workforce as competent entry level occupational therapists.

Sensory Processing and Autism Network (SPAN)

Therapy In Action is honored to have long-standing relationships with multiple universities as clinical instruction providers for students during their fieldwork.  Therapy in Action is one of six clinics in the greater Los Angeles who partner with the University of Southern California (USC) in the Sensory Processing and Autism Network (SPAN), which is a community-based research network (CBRN) committed to improving outcomes for individuals with sensory processing challenges and their families in everyday life.  By engaging in a network of clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders, Therapy In Action intends to provide optimally effective approaches to addressing sensory processing challenges experienced by individuals and their families, now and for future generations.
